Our Story

In March 2021, Simin and Harish Vaswani founded Sarina Film Productions in order to create narrative films, emphasizing Simin’s love of writing and storytelling through dance, and Harish’s love of music. Each of them bring over 20 years of project management experience in the IT space, along with vast knowledge of music, dance and movies. Simin grew up surrounded by a family of actors and dancers, and Harish by musicians. Taking the plunge into making films was a natural evolution for them both.

Simin and Harish have been partners for 30 years, meeting as high school sweethearts. As the co-founders of Sarina Productions, they create films that reflect and speak to the human experience in all of its emotional complexities. They currently live in Cedar Grove, New Jersey with their 5 year old son Karan.
